Souter, Charles Henry (1864 - 1944)

Born: 11 October 1864  Aberdeen, Scotland.  Died: 20 August 1944  North Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.
Charles Henry Souter practised medicine in various country towns in South Australia before moving to North Adelaide, where he practised from 1925-44. He also published four collections of verse: "Irish Lords" (1912), "To Many Ladies" (1917), "The Mallee Fire" (1923) and "The Lonely Rose" (1935). Souter contributed to the "Bulletin", particularly ballads, shanties and poems and appeared as an expert on 5AD's radio session, "Information Please".
