Derrick, C.R. (? - 1915)

 
Manufacturing chemist
Died: 20 September 1915
C. R. Derrick worked for H.G. Grist and Son, rising from office-boy to managing director. He eventually resigned to form his own company, the Derrick Manufacturing Co. In 1899 he joined the Victorian Rangers and rose to lieutenant by 1904. He was transferred to the 6th Australian Regiment and appointed area-officer of the Port Melbourne district. Derrick died of wounds received in action in Gallipoli.
