Born: 15 July 1887  Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia.  Died: 2 April 1956  South Yarra, Victoria, Australia.
Isabella Henrietta Y. Ross was instrumental in establishing the first baby clinic in Victoria and became a central figure in the Victorian Baby Health Centres Association. A plaque commemorating her is at the Queen Elizabeth Maternal and Child Welfare Centre, Carlton.

1914 - c. 1915Worked in the slum areas of Glasgow and Edinburgh
c. 1915 - 1917House Physician at the Queen's Hospital for Children, London
1917Established the first Victorian baby clinic at Richmond
1917Travelled to Australia through the USA, where she studied child welfare under Dr Herman N. Bundesen in Chicago
1918Became a central figure in the Victorian Baby Health Centres Association
1918 - 1950Worked for various periods at the Children's, Royal Women's and Queen Victoria Hospitals in Melbourne, as well as in private practice
1938Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE)
1938 - 1940President of the Lyceum Club
