Paxinos, George (1944 - )

 
Psychologist
Born: 1 April 1944  Greece
George Paxinos has been Professor of Psychology at the University of New South Wales since 1991. He has worked there since settling in Australia in 1973, starting as a lecturer. He is interested in mapping the human brain, which will allow comparisons between "normal" brains and those with abnormalities such as Parkinson's disease and Alzheimers disease. He was educated at the University of California (BA, MA), and McGill University (PhD).
