Caulfield, Harold (1918 - 1994)

 
Horticulturalist
Born: 18 July 1918  Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.  Died: 30 August 1994  Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Harold Caulfield was Curator of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens 1956-79. He wrote horticultural columns in journals and daily papers and presented horticultural programs on radio.

Career Highlights
Born Melbourne, 18 July 1918. Died Brisbane, 30 August 1994. AM. Began his career in a Melbourne nursery, Melbourne Botanic Gardens 1930s, sergeant in 2/11 Field Artillery during World War II, returned to Melbourne Botanic Gardens, then became a plant propagator at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. Curator, Brisbane Botanic Gardens 1956-79, Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens 1979-82. Foundation President, Society for Growing Australian Plants.
