Barker, William George (1804 - 1863)

Born: 1804  Southwark, England.  Died: 1863.
William George Barker had settled in Sydney by 1833. Manuscript material of his education in navigation at the Royal Mathematical School, Christs Hospital, is held by the Mitchell Library.

Career Highlights
Born Southwark, England, 1804. Died 1863. Apprenticed to his father, Lieutenant William Collins Barker, R.N., 31 May 1821. Member of the Masonic Lodge, Sydney, 1836-40.
