Morrison, Frank Richard (1895 - 1967)

Born: 14 April 1895  Randwick, New South Wales, Australia.  Died: 2 October 1967  Hornsby, New South Wales, Australia.
Frank Richard Morrison joined the Technological Museum, Sydney in 1916 and was the Museum's Economic Chemist 1946-49, Deputy Director 1949-56 and Director 1956-60. He worked on the chemistry of Australia's natural products, especially eucalyptus oils, in collaboration with A.R. Penfold.

Born Sydney, 14 April 1895. Died Sydney, 2 October 1967. Eduated Sydney Technical College (ASTC (Chem.) 1922). Laboratory assistant, chemical laboratories, Sydney Metropolitan Water, Sewerage and Drainage Board 1912-16, assistant chemist, Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences 1916-46, Economic Chemist 1946-49, Deputy Director of the Museum 1949-55, Director 1955-60. President, Sydney Technical College Chemical Society (later University of New South Wales Chemical Society ) 1931, 1955, President, Royal Society of New South Wales 1950. Royal Society of New South Wales medal 1958.
