| Hugh Muir was Professor of Physical Metallurgy, University of New South Wales from 1960. Earlier he had worked at the Munitions Supply Laboratories, Victoria 1943-45 and had lectured at the University of Otago 1947-54 and the University of Melbourne 1955-59. |
