Jose, Arthur Wilberforce (1863 - 1956)

Born: 4 September 1863  Clifton, Gloucestershire, England.  Died: 26 November 1956  Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Arthur Wilberforce Jose wrote widely on the history of Australia and was a Sydney correspondence for "The Times" from 1904. His "History of Australasia" ran to fifteen editions by 1929 and in 1920 he was appointed editor-in-chief of "The Australian Encyclopaedia".
