Duperrey, Louis Isidore (1786 - 1865)

Physicist and Naval officer
Born: 21 October 1786  France.  Died: 10 September 1865.
Louis Isidore Duperrey accompanied de Freycinet on the "Uranie" around the world to study meteorology and terrestial magnetism 1817-20. He commanded the "Coquille" on an expedition to Oceania and South America 1822-5.
