Shoobridge, Louis Manton (1851 - 1939)

Born: 25 October 1851  New Norfolk, Tasmania, Australia.  Died: 12 March 1939  Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.
Louis Manton Shoobridge joined the family friu-growing enterprise and was credited with experimenting on over 500 apple varieties. He selected and preserved land around the Russell Falls which was eventually incorporated into the Mt Field National Park in 1917.
