Veitch, Robert (1890 - 1972)

Born: 15 August 1890  Edinburgh, Scotland.  Died: 22 September 1972  Clayfield, Queensland, Australia.
Robert Veitch was an instigator and inaugural Director of the Division of Plant Industry (research) in the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Stock. He was also President of the Entomological Society of Queensland (1932), President of the Royal Society of Queensland (1935-1936) and founding Vice-President (1935), and president (1936), of the Queensland branch of the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science.
