Born: 18 June 1858  Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.  Died: 8 August 1922  Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Born Melbourne, 18 June 1858. Died Melbourne, 8 August 1922. Stonemason; contractor's foreman, sewerage works round Melbourne; Museum Assistant, National Museum, Melbourne 1904-20, Entomologist 1920-22. Wrote Victorian Butterflies (1893, with E. Anderson). Found many fossils around the Yarra, including Bather's new crinoid and Gregoriura spyri (brittle-star).
