Illidge, Rowland (1850* - 1929)

Born: 27 November 1850  Brixton district, England.  Died: 17 February 1929  Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Rowland Illidge was an amateur entomologist and ornithologist, who pioneered entomology studies in Queensland. He built up an impressive insect collection over time.

*The Bibliography of Australian Entomology, 1775-7930 lists his birth year as 1846. The 1850 date comes from the A Biographical Register, 1788-1939.
