Rowland Illidge was an amateur entomologist and ornithologist, who pioneered entomology studies in Queensland. He built up an impressive insect collection over time. *The Bibliography of Australian Entomology, 1775-7930 lists his birth year as 1846. The 1850 date comes from the A Biographical Register, 1788-1939. |
