Shaw, Sydney Herbert (1903 - )

Born: 6 November 1903  Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom
Sydney Herbert Shaw was a Welsh geologist who travelled widely to better his knowledge and share his expertise. In Rhodesia, Palestine, Cyprus and Australia he held senior positions in top geological/geophysical organisations. Shaw also worked with the Directorate of Colonial Geological Surveys from 1949 to 1965 where he rose to the rank of Director.
