Joseph Horvath was an Austrian geophysicist who worked around the world on many different research and exploration projects. From 1935 to 1937 he explored northern Australia as part of an international aerial geological and geophysical survey. He returned to Australia in 1951 as senior geophysicist for the Commonwealth Bureau of Mineral Resources, then spent six years in Melbourne working as a private consultant (1965-1971). |
