Born: 10 April 1825  London, England.  Died: 19 December 1900  Launceston, Tasmania, Australia.
Alfred Barrett Biggs was a schoolteacher in Tasmania 1845-52, in Melbourne 1852-63 and again in Tasmania 1863-80. He was then a bank officer in Launceston 1880-1900.
