Wade, Arthur (1878 - 1951)

Geologist and Petrologist
Born: 12 November 1878  Halifax, Yorkshire, England.  Died: 8 April 1951  Mermaid Beach, Queensland, Australia.
Arthur Wade undertook geological explorations of possible oil-bearing areas for the Australian Government between 1914 and 1937. He was subsequently appointed Geological Adviser to the Shell Co. of Australia from 1940.
