Lilley, Charles Mitford (1890 - 1955)

Born: 28 January 1890  Kelvin Grove, Queensland, Australia.  Died: 16 April 1955  Windsor, Queensland, Australia.
Charles Mitford Lilley was one of Australia’s top general surgeons during the 1900s and an expert in thyroid surgery. He worked at the Brisbane Hospital for over thirty-five years and became a consultant general surgeon in Wickham Terrace. He also worked as an Honorary Surgeon for the Anglican nuns and was devoted to his patients and profession.
