Born: 21 December 1810 Madeira (Island), Portugal. Died: 1 May 1896. | |
Richard Gilbert Symonds who trained as a surveyor in England arrived in South Australia in 1836. He worked with Colonel Light until 1841 when he moved to Tasmania. He retired to South Australia and worked as an accountant and teacher 1872-96. |
