Kopsch, Gustavus Adolphus

Gustavus Adolphus Kopsch became Chief Mechanician to the Sydney Post Office in 1876 and constructed the transmitter and receiver for the first experimental telephone line in 1877. He also gave the first exhibition of electric lighting in the colonies in 1868.
