John Irvine Hunter was an acclaimed anatomist and Challis Chair of anatomy at the University of Sydney from 1923. He was a brilliant student and was appointed Associate Professor in anatomy, almost immediately after graduating. Hunter went on to produce numerous high quality research articles many on the concept of dual innervation of muscle fibers. He died of typhoid while on a lectureship in England. |
