Othman Frank Blakey was professor of civil engineering at the University of Western Australia from 1947 until his death. He had previously been a lecturer in the school of engineering and then associate professor. |

Chairman, Perth division, Institution of Engineers, Australia 1936, 1942; president, Institution of Engineers, Australia 1945. |
