White, George Boyle (1802 - 1876)

Surveyor and Diarist
Born: 24 August 1802  Bantry, Cork, Ireland.  Died: 25 May 1876  Double Bay, New South Wales, australia.
George Boyle White was Assistant Surveyor, New South Wales from 1827 and worked in the Hunter River district. He travelled with T. Mitchell on his expedition to the Barwon River 1831-32. In 1838 he was promoted to Surveyor and retired in 1853.
