Born: 1 August 1851 Fullarton, South Australia, Australia. Died: 29 July 1933 Adelaide, South Australia. | ||
(Sir) Joseph Cooke Verco practised medicine in South Australia from 1878. In 1885 he helped found the Medical School of the University of Adelaide and lectured in medicine 1887-1915. On retirement he revived his interest in shells and worked for the South Australian Museum. |
