Tryon, Henry (1856 - 1943)

Entomologist and Plant pathologist
Born: 20 December 1856  Buckfastleigh, Devon, England.  Died: 15 November 1943  Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Henry Tryon was Assistant Curator at the Queensland Museum 1885-94, but was seconded to the Queensland Department of Agriculture to work on pleuropneumonia vaccines and fruit-fly. In 1894 he became government entomologist and in 1901 vegetable pathologist.
