Born: 8 May 1913  Easington Village, Durham, England.  Died: 28 December 1973.
William Christopher Swinbank was a Chief Research Scientist with the CSIRO from 1961 to 1971 when he went to the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, USA, as Director of the National Hail Research Experiment.

Born Easington Village, Durham, England, 8 May 1913. Died 28 December 1973. Fellow, Australian Academy of Science 1970.
