Stump, Claude Witherington (1891 - 1971)

Medical scientist

Born: 28 October 1891 Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. Died: 23 September 1971 Mona Vale, New South Wales, Australia.

Claude Witherington Stump was Professor of Embryology and Histology, University of Sydney 1928-1956 and Associate Professor 1926-1928. Earlier he was professor at the University of Bangkok, Siam 1924-1926.

1920 - 1922 Crichton research scholarship in anatomy in Edinburgh
1923 Doctor of Medicine (MD) received from the University of Edinburgh
1924 Doctor of Science (DSc) received from the University of Edinburgh
1924 - 1926 Professor at the University of Bangkok in Siam
1926 - 1928 Associate Professor at the University of Sydney
1928 - 1956 Professor of Embryology and Histology at the University of Sydney
1930 Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (FRSE)
