| Born: 13 February 1808 Kennington, Surrey, England. Died: 10 April 1900 Richmond, Victoria, Australia. | ||
| Robert Russell was appointed surveyor at Port Phillip in 1836 and assisted Robert Hoddle in laying out Melbourne. He became a private architect in 1839 and an amateur artist. |
