Rogers, Richard Sanders (1861 - 1942)

Physician and Orchidologist
Born: 2 December 1861  Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.  Died: 28 March 1942.
Richard Sanders Rogers was consulting physician at the (Royal) Adelaide Hospital 1897-1942 and a hypnotist of some note. He became a world authority on Australasian orchids describing over 113 new species and 3 new genera working closely with R. Fiveash and H.M.R. Rupp.
