Born: 19 April 1930  Kew, Victoria, Australia.  Died: 12 November 1993.
Alfred Edward (Ted) Ringwood was appointed Professor of Geophysics since 1963, and of Geochemistry in 1967 at the Research School of Earth Sciences, Australian National University. He was Director of the School from 1978.
