Born: 18 January 1927 Melbourne?, Victoria, Australia. Died: 26 June 1999. | |
John Robert Philip was Chief of the CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) Division of Environmental Mechanics from 1971 to 1980, and from 1983-91. From 1980-83 he was first Director of the CSIRO Institute of Physical Sciences. In 1967 Philip was appointed a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science (FAA) and a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS) in 1974. |
