Born: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Thomas David J. Leech, a Lecturer in Civil Engineering, University of Sydney was appointed Professor of Engineering at Auckland University College, New Zealand in 1940. He also worked as Head of the Scientific Services Division on the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric scheme.
