Born: 25 November 1903 Creswick, Victoria, Australia. Died: 31 March 1966. | |||
Arthur Robert Hogg was an assistant at the Mount Stromlo Observatory 1921-61 and Deputy Director 1961-66. His advice to B.J. Bok, then director of Mount Stromlo Observatory, on the selection of possible sites for a major telescope in Australia resulted in the choice of Siding Spring as the site for the Anglo-Australian 150-inch telescope. |
