Born: 23 June 1891  Dunedin, New Zealand.  Died: 30 June 1962  Sandringham, Victoria, Australia.
Eric Oswald Hercus was a senior lecturer in Natural Philosophy, University of Melbourne 1919-31, and an associate professor 1931-56. He was interested in the measurement of heat.
