William Charles Groves was Supervisor of Education, Deparment of Native Affairs, Canberra 1922-25, Director of Education, Nauru 1937-39, Advisor on Native Affairs (Education), Solomon Islands 1939-40, and Director of Education, Papua-New Guinea after World War Two.
