Browning, Thomas Oakley (1920 - )

Born: 28 January 1920  Maitland, South Australia, Australia
Thomas Oakley Browning was Senior Lecturer 1953-62 and the Waite Professor of Entomology 1963-83, University of Adelaide. He was Director of the International Centre for Insect Physiology and Ecology, Nairobi 1971-77.

Assistant entomologist/entomologist, Waite Agricultural Research Institute 1948-62; Nuffield Foundation Fellow 1952; senior lecturer in zoology, University of Adelaide 1953-62; Waite Professor of Entomology 1963-83, emeritus professor 1983- ; research director, International Centre for Insect Physiology and Ecology, Nairobi 1971-77. Chairman, Environment Protection Council of South Australia 1987-88.
