Bolton, Herbert Cairns (1921 - 2000)

Theoretical physicist and Science historian
Born: 21 May 1921  England.  Died: 11 July 2000.
Herbert Cairns Bolton was Professor of Theoretical Physics, Monash University from 1962-86. Following his retirement he became a senior associate in the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Melbourne and a keen supporter of the Australian Science Archives Project and its successor, the Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre. Bolton was educated at King's College, London (BSc, PhD).
