Born: 1822  England?.  Died: 1897.
Charles Decimus Barraud emigrated to New Zealand in 1849 and set up business in Wellington. He was a competent artist, sketching and painting in watercolours mostly. His landscapes are regarded as important historical records.

Born England (?), 1822. Died 1897. Served his articles as a chemist and druggist, emigrated to New Zealand 1849, worked as a pharmacist in Wellington 1849-87. Founder and sometime president, New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts.
