Born: 24 February 1841  Cassel, Germany.  Died: 16 June 1918  South Africa.
Ferdinand Moritz Krausé was a surveyor with the Geological Survey of Victoria 1870-80?, Lecturer and Museum Curator, Ballarat School of Mines 1880-95 and Lecturer in Mining, University of Melbourne 1895-97.
