Lindt, John William (1845 - 1926)

Born: 1845  Frankfurt on Main, Germany.  Died: 19 February 1926  Black Spur, Narbethong, Victoria, Australia.
John William Lindt was the official photographer on the expedition to the Protectorate of British New Guinea 1885. He died at his home 'Hermitage' in 1926. The Hermitage was a guesthouse and its gardens were designed by Ferdinand Von Mueller.
