Born: 1845 Frankfurt on Main, Germany. Died: 19 February 1926 Black Spur, Narbethong, Victoria, Australia. | |
John William Lindt was the official photographer on the expedition to the Protectorate of British New Guinea 1885. He died at his home 'Hermitage' in 1926. The Hermitage was a guesthouse and its gardens were designed by Ferdinand Von Mueller. |
