Born Guernsey, Channel Islands, 28 February 1837. Died Armadale, Victoria, 13 February 1918. Arrived Adelaide ca 1860. Travelled through Gippsland 1865, taking photographs of Aboriginals and landscapes; studio in Adelaide 1867-70; photographer, Talbot, Victoria 1870-76; studio, Melbourne 1876-85; outdoor photography from 1885; did X-ray photography one day a week free for the Melbourne General Hospital. |
