Description:	Material gathered from the late 1980s with assistance from Beth Newland and later Romaine Rutman comprising information about women for a proposed collective, multi-authored work on women in Australian science. The data includes lists made up from input from various young women scholars working in historical aspects of women in science which include names, dates, discipline, ocupation, provence, and reference sources. Further to this material are the working files including lists, correspondence and notes relating to the conference of 'Outstanding Older Women in Australian Science' held in Canberra at the National Library of Australia on 1 Spetember 1999.
