asa directory

Dear STAMAsters,

The Australian Society of Archivists has just made available its "Directory
of Archives in Australia" so for those WEB surfers out there have a look.
The data in the directory is what was published when the hardcopy version
came out in 1992 but the project to collect up-to-date data is underway at
the moment and the WWW version will updated as the revisions come in.

Tim Sherratt at the ASAP Canberra Office has done the work on getting the
data into a database and then to html.

>The ASA Directory is just about ready. Check it out at:

This may be model that could be used for setting up a directory of science,
technology and medicine archives worldwide?!!

Cheers and well done Tim .... Gavan
