Born Creswick, Victoria, 23 June 1908. Education University of Melbourne (B.Sc. 1932). Research engineer, P.M.G.'s Department, 1935-51; Director Technical Services 1952-65. Member of the Australian Broadcasting Control Board 1965-73.
