Research officer, Australian Universities Commission 1946-51. Head, Physical Sciences Branch, Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Authority, 1951-59. Director, Broken Hill Division, University of N.S.W., 1959-70; professor of civil engineering 1967-77.
