Born Hopetoun, Victoria, 17 May 1897; died Melbourne 31 May 1933. Education Ballarat School of Mines (A.S.M.B. 1921) and Melbourne University (B.Sc. 1925). Science teacher, Victoria, 1923-27. Chemist, Munitions Supply Laboratories Maribyrnong, 1927-30. Lecturer in chemistry, Working Men's College, Melbourne, 1930-33.
