FURBER, Thomas Frederick

Born London, England, 13 May 1855; died Sydney 7 October 1924. Surveyor, N.S.W. Surveyor-General's office, 1869-1914; licensed surveyor 1875; Chief Computer, Trigonometry Branch, 1890-1904; Metropolitan District Surveyor & Director of Trigonometrical Surveys 1904-14. Lecturer in geodesy & astronomy at Sydney University 1907-24.
