PELL, Morris Birkbeck

Born Albion, Illinois, U.S.A., 31 March 1827; died Sydney 7 May 1879. Education, Cambridge University (Senior wrangler and second Smith's prizeman, 1849). Fellow of St. John's College, Cambridge, 1850-52. Professor of mathematics and natural philosophy, Sydney University, 1852-77.
