BELZ, Maurice Henry

Born Sydney 1 February 1897; died Melbourne 28 March 1975. Education Sydney University (B.Sc. 1918) and Cambridge University (M.Sc. 1922). Lecturer in mathematics Melbourne University 1923-39; Associate professor of mathematical statistics, 1939-54; professor of statistics 1955-63.
